Small Group Leader: Let’s Wing It
I started coming to Men of The City January of 2011. I believe the second week of coming to Substance Church Patrick approached me with a flyer for a steak dinner (one of my favorites) so how could I turn down free steak? Men of the City has meant a lot to me over
the last year. I never saw myself as a leader and I feel MOTC has broken me out of my shell and I have been given a call to lead. Not like I was forced into it but I realized I actually wanted to be a leader. It has changed every aspect of my life, from how I handle my job at work to how I raise my kids and treat my wife. I grew up in the Church, but not since Men of the City have I had the support of strong Christian men. Not only that but these guys are for real. I used to isolate myself but through MOTC I’m starting to find my community.
My favorite thing to grill is steak.
My favorite man activities are Disc Golf and bon fires.
I’m currently reading letters from a skeptic by Greg Boyd and have been reading it when I can (Hopefully finish it someday lol)
